Delete Your Account
Words Trail, by Myces · Last updated September 21, 2026
You can permanently delete your Words Trail account and its associated
data at any time, directly inside the app — no waiting, no support
ticket required.
How to request deletion
- Open Words Trail and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom navigation).
- Scroll to Settings → Danger Zone.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm.
-
If you signed up with email and password and haven't logged in
recently, you'll be asked to re-enter your password first, as a
security check.
Deletion happens immediately once confirmed — your account cannot be
recovered afterward.
Can't access the app?
If you no longer have access to the app (e.g. you uninstalled it, or
can't sign in), email
myces.software@gmail.com
from the email address associated with your account and request
deletion. We'll verify and process it manually.
What gets deleted
- Your Firebase Authentication account (email, sign-in credentials).
- Your reserved in-game username.
-
Your public profile record — your recorded stats, unlocked
achievements, and profile photo.
What is retained
-
Past leaderboard entries (score, chain length, best word, game mode,
and the username you had at the time) stay on the leaderboard to
preserve historical rankings for other players. These entries are
not linked back to your account or email address once it's deleted
— only the username string remains, which becomes available for
someone else to claim.
There is no separate option to delete only some of your data while
keeping your account — deleting your account removes everything
listed above in one step.
